It was Mike&#8217;s time to become an angel.<\/p><cite>Tracy Greenwell<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nThe news was announced on social media, where deep sorrow was expressed for Greenwell&#8217;s passing. The former player was at the General Hospital in Boston at the time of his death.\n\nIn addition to his successful sports career, Greenwell entered politics, being appointed commissioner of Lee County in Florida in 2022 and re-elected in 2024.\n\nIn the sports world, Greenwell is remembered for his outstanding performance with the Red Sox.
