Allen Iverson Reveals the Lowest Point of His Life Off the Court<\/h2>\n\nIn a recent interview, NBA legend Allen Iverson shared details about the most difficult moment of his life, an experience that surpassed any challenge faced in basketball.\n\nDuring the conversation about his new autobiography, “Misunderstood”, Iverson confessed that the lowest point came with his divorce from Tawanna Turner.\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s when I knew I\u2019d hit rock bottom and it was time for some deep self-evaluation,\u201d Iverson recalled. \u201cWhen I was sitting in the courtroom, I used to watch the Sixers versus the Sixers in practice, or Georgetown versus Georgetown. The tears started falling on the divorce papers when I looked up and saw \u2018Iverson versus Iverson\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\nAllen Iverson<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nDespite this, Iverson confirmed that he and Turner have rebuilt their relationship after their 2013 divorce.\n\nWhen asked how he got Tawanna back, Iverson replied: \u201cA lot of Keith Sweat. I had to beg a lot.\u201d\n\nIn his process of reevaluating and rebuilding his marriage, Iverson, now 50 years old, recognized that alcohol was a significant problem.\n\nDivorce, the end of his career, and his youthful experiences, all weighed on him.\n\n“It’s a plethora of things. Ultimately, when you evaluate your maturity and what’s important and what you mean to your family, friends, and the world, I just thought about the way it was supposed to be in life. And I didn’t see how [alcohol] was helping in anything,” he explained. “I could only think of negative experiences.”\n\nIverson also reflected on his influence on young NBA players.\n\n“I made many of them feel comfortable in their own skin and feel that they can express themselves,” he stated. “I love everything that is happening with our league and the improvement of the younger players.
