In return, they received Newsome and a 2026 sixth-round pick that the Browns obtained from the Jets.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exchange Details<\/h2>\n\n\nNewsome, 25, was selected by the Browns in the first round of the 2021 draft. He is currently playing on a fifth-year option that gives him $13.38 million and will become a free agent after the season.\n\nAfter his rookie season as an outside cornerback, Newsome moved to play the nickel position.
