Jackson LaCombe Secures His Future with the Anaheim Ducks<\/h2>\n\nThe Anaheim Ducks have reached an agreement with defenseman Jackson LaCombe, a key piece in the team’s rebuilding, for an eight-year contract extension, the team announced this Thursday.\n\nThe agreement has an average annual value of $9 million, similar to the contract Luke Hughes signed with the New Jersey Devils. This contract is the largest awarded by the Ducks and will begin in the 2026-27 season, ending in 2033-34.\n\nLaCombe still has one year remaining on a two-year bridge contract with an average annual value of $925,000 that he signed in 2024.\n\n\n

Extending LaCombe’s contract was a priority for the team, and he has all the tools to be a cornerstone of our defense for many years.<\/p>Pat Verbeek, General Manager of the Anaheim Ducks<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nVerbeek also commented that both parties were looking for long-term agreements, which facilitated the negotiations. In addition, he expressed his confidence in the contract and in LaCombe’s character, anticipating continued growth in his game.\n\nLaCombe, 24, was selected in the 39th overall pick of the 2019 NHL draft. In his career, he has 60 points in 148 games, with 14 goals and 29 assists in 75 games last season.\n\nLaCombe expressed his enthusiasm for staying in Anaheim long-term, highlighting the positive environment and the support of his teammates.\n\n\n
