Posey Dismisses Bochy for Giants’ Management<\/h2>\n\nSAN FRANCISCO \u2013 Buster Posey, Giants’ president of baseball operations, has ruled out his former manager Bruce Bochy as a candidate to fill the manager position again in San Francisco.\n\nPosey revealed on Wednesday that he spoke with Bochy a few days ago and suggested the possibility of a position in the organization, although not that of manager.\n\n\n

I don’t think we’re going that route with Boch.<\/p>Buster Posey<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe Giants fired Bob Melvin on Monday, after a second season that ended with an 81-81 record, one more win than the previous year, and a fourth consecutive missed playoff opportunity.\n\nOn the same Monday, the Texas Rangers announced the departure of Bochy, 70, after three seasons that culminated in the organization’s first World Series championship in 2023.\n\nPosey expressed his desire to find someone who can provide stability in the manager position for the coming years, as the team tries to become a regular contender again. However, he did not offer details about the process, except that interviews are taking place this week. Under Bochy’s direction, the Giants won World Series championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014.\n\nPosey also commented on the team’s recent performance.\n\n\n
