The exciting matches of the first day of the Metropolitan Zone took place last weekend, marking the beginning of a competition that promises great emotions.\n\nA total of six teams compete in the Metropolitan Zone, while 16 clubs from all over the country will compete for the title in this tournament, which is an integral part of the FDF Development Program.\n\nThe coordination of the tournament is in charge of the Department of National Competitions, led by Carlos Ram\u00edrez. The end of the tournament is scheduled for March 2026.\n\nThe competition, designed for players born on or after January 1, 2009 (Under-16), includes a total of 92 matches across the Dominican Republic.\n\nThe tournament format is divided into a first phase, where the 16 clubs will be distributed into three geographical zones: Metropolitan, North and South.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participating Teams and Competition Format<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Metropolitan Area is made up of the following teams:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>SD Colonial<\/li><li>EF D&amp;F<\/li><li>CDR 5 de Abril<\/li><li>Atl\u00e9tico Los Villanos<\/li><li>Garrincha FC<\/li><li>Nacional FC<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the South Zone, the competing teams are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Estrella Azul FC<\/li><li>Para\u00edso FC<\/li><li>Sabana Yegua FC<\/li><li>Kenson FC<\/li><li>Neyba FC<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\nThe North Zone is made up of:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cibao FC<\/li><li>Real Deportivo<\/li><li>San Francisco FC<\/li><li>Jarabacoa A4 Sports<\/li><li>KM5 FC<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\nIn the second phase, the quarterfinals, the top four clubs from the Metropolitan Zone and the top two from the North and South zones will advance. The winners of the quarterfinals will face each other in the semifinals, and the winners of these will play the grand final.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results of the First Day and Upcoming Matches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first date of the Metropolitan Zone, which was played between Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st, 2025, yielded the following results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Garrincha FC 0-3 EF D&amp;F<\/li><li>SD Colonial 2-0 Nacional FC<\/li><li>CDR 2-1 Atl.
