The football world mourns the tragic loss of Gabonese striker Aaron Boupendza, who died at the age of 28 after falling from the 11th floor of a building in China. The Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT) confirmed the news this Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n

Boupendza, who joined Zhejiang FC earlier this year, was in good form, accumulating four goals in six matches.<\/p>\n\n

At 28 years old, Boupendza will be remembered as a great forward who left a lasting mark on the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon [in 2022].<\/p>FEGAFOOT<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n

Trained at CF Mounana and Bordeaux of France, the Gabonese striker arrived in the Chinese league after a brief stint in Romania.<\/p>\n\n

Chinese authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether the fall was an accident, a suicide, or the result of a criminal act, according to reports from Romanian media. So far, there is no official confirmation about the cause of death.<\/p>\n\n
