Brunson laments Thibodeau’s departure from the Knicks<\/h2>\n\nJalen Brunson expressed his sadness over Tom Thibodeau’s departure from the New York Knicks, a relationship that extends from childhood. Rick also played under Thibodeau when he was an assistant with the Knicks and the Houston Rockets.\n\nSince his arrival at the Knicks three years ago, Brunson has become one of the league’s most outstanding players, being an All-Star and All-NBA in consecutive seasons. In addition, he has led New York to victories in playoff series for three seasons in a row for the first time in a generation, including last year’s conference finals.\n\nDespite these achievements, Thibodeau was fired shortly after the Knicks lost in six games against the Indiana Pacers on the doorstep of the NBA Finals.\n\nBrunson, averaging 26.4 points per game in his three seasons under Thibodeau and named NBA Clutch Player of the Year last season, responded affirmatively when asked if Thibodeau was the right coach for the team.\n\n\n
