This could mean a challenge for Brandon Stephens, who currently occupies that place.\n\nWhile Brownlee recovers, he will bring experience and depth to the team.\n\nStephens, an expensive acquisition during the offseason, has had an irregular performance in the first three games, which has raised concerns in the coaching staff.\n\nThe other options at the cornerback position, behind Stephens and Gardner, are rookie Azareye&#8217;h Thomas and second-year player Qwan&#8217;tez Stiggers.\n\nBrownlee will meet with Chris Harris, the Jets&#8217; passing game coordinator, who held the same position with the Titans last season.\n\nThe Jets are ranked 29th in scoring defense, and have struggled to maintain the lead in the final minutes of games.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We are analyzing this as staff, and we are going to discuss those topics, and we are going to solve those problems.<\/p><cite>Aaron Glenn<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nBrownlee, selected in the fifth round of the 2024 draft by the Titans, started 17 games last season. He started the first two games of this season before suffering an ankle injury that kept him out in Week 3.\n\nIn 19 games, Brownlee has recorded 92 tackles, 10 passes defended, and 1 interception. He is known for his aggressiveness, which has sometimes cost him penalties.
