His departure was surprising, as he had a contract until 2030.\n\nIt is understood that Horner accepted a reduced payment compared to what would have been the full contractual payment, allowing him to return to F1 in any function next spring. A source estimated the payment at around 100 million dollars.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a4.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2024%2F0902%2Fr1380986_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Christian Horner\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nBryn Lennon &#8211; Formula 1\/Formula 1 via Getty Images\n\nUnder Horner&#8217;s leadership, Red Bull won eight drivers&#8217; championships and six constructors&#8217; championships in two periods of dominance.\n\nOn Monday, after the agreement, Red Bull confirmed that it is no longer with the company.\n\nOracle Red Bull Racing announces today that Team Principal and CEO, Christian Horner, will leave the team.\n\nPrevious sources indicated that Horner is interested in returning to the Formula 1 world as soon as possible.\n\nBefore his dismissal, Horner had been linked with Ferrari, but the Italian team extended the contract of team boss Fred Vasseur.
