Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Bryan Woo was forced to leave Friday night’s game against the Houston Astros after throwing a couple of warm-up pitches in the sixth inning.<\/p>\n
Woo had a dominant performance through five innings, not allowing any runs, giving up only one hit and one walk, while striking out seven batters. The game was the first of a crucial series between the American League West Division rivals, who began the night tied at the top of the division.<\/p>\n
The pitcher threw 67 pitches and lowered his ERA to 2.94. Woo retired the first 10 batters before Carlos Correa hit a double with one out in the fourth inning.<\/p>\n
Shortly after Woo began to warm up on the mound for the sixth inning, a team coach and several trainers came out to the field. After a brief conversation, Woo left the game, being replaced by Eduard Bazardo.<\/p>\n
