Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Khalil Mack was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to an elbow injury suffered in the first quarter.<\/p>\n
The injury occurred while Mack was attempting a tackle. His hand got trapped between Chargers linebacker Troy Dye and Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker, leading to an unnatural position of his elbow.<\/p>\n
After the play, Mack walked off the field holding his left hand. He stopped on the sideline and bent over in pain before heading to the locker room.<\/p>\n
Mack returned to the Chargers’ bench in the third quarter with his elbow bandaged and in a sling.<\/p>\n
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t offer an update on the severity of Mack’s injury after the game, indicating that imaging tests would be performed and that the team “will see where that takes us.”<\/p>\n
Before the injury, Mack recorded a catch and a tackle in the first quarter.<\/p>\n
