Mascherano Asserts Tension is a Thing of the Past Between Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders<\/h2>\n\nInter Miami coach Javier Mascherano stated that there will be no residual tensions between the club and the Seattle Sounders on Tuesday night at Chase Stadium. Mascherano insists that what happened after the Leagues Cup final on August 31st is a “closed matter”.\n\nIn the Leagues Cup final, Inter Miami lost 3-0 against the Sounders, and a fight broke out after the final whistle. Sergio Busquets punched Obed Vargas, a player for the Seattle Sounders, and Luis Su\u00e1rez spat at a member of the opposing team’s staff.\n\nBoth teams were sanctioned for their actions. Busquets, Su\u00e1rez, and Tom\u00e1s Avil\u00e9s were suspended by the Leagues Cup disciplinary committee and will have to serve their suspensions in the next edition of the tournament.\n\nAdditionally, Su\u00e1rez received an additional three-match suspension from MLS due to his behavior, which left him out of Tuesday’s match against the Sounders.\n\n\n
