Burrow suffered the injury at 8:36 of the second quarter during the 31-27 home victory against Jacksonville, when Jacksonville defensive end Arik Armstead brought him down.<\/p>\n
In the play, Burrow was trapped under other players who fell on him.<\/p>\n
Initially, Burrow limped while trying to leave the field. After a few steps, he fell to the turf. He was evaluated for several minutes in the injury tent. Although he tried to walk towards the locker room, he stopped a few meters from the tunnel, requiring assistance from the medical staff to return.<\/p>\n
Originally, Burrow was listed as questionable to return before being ruled out. He did not return to the field and used a walking boot and crutches after the game.<\/p>\n
Instead, Jake Browning led the Bengals to a comeback victory, capped by his 1-yard leap over the goal line with 18 seconds remaining in the game.<\/p>\n
Burrow, the first draft pick in 2020, suffered injuries that ended his seasons in 2020 (knee) and 2023 (wrist), causing him to miss a total of 13 games. He also played with a calf injury sustained in training camp before the 2023 campaign.<\/p>\n
