He spent the first 13 seasons of his career in Pittsburgh, where he helped Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang win three Stanley Cups.\n\nFleury left the Penguins when he was selected by Vegas during the expansion draft shortly after Pittsburgh won the second of two consecutive championships in 2017.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;Marc means a lot to our team, our fans, and the city of Pittsburgh because of the person he is and the example he set,&#8221; said Pittsburgh general manager Kyle Dubas in a statement. &#8220;The Penguins feel that he and his family deserve this opportunity to celebrate this full-circle moment where it all began in front of the black and gold faithful.&#8221;<\/p><cite>Kyle Dubas, General Manager of the Penguins<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nFleury, affectionately known as &#8220;Flower&#8221;, was incredibly popular among his teammates and fans. He ranks second all-time in NHL history in wins (575) and won the Vezina Trophy in 2021 while playing for Vegas.\n\nHe is best known for his long career in Pittsburgh.
