Rosie Galligan: “The fans have been magical”<\/h2>\n\nEnglish rugby player Rosie Galligan has expressed her amazement at the support received during the early stages of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. The athlete has described the experience as “magical”.\n\nThe “Red Roses” have achieved convincing victories against the United States and Samoa, in front of a large crowd in Sunderland and Northampton, respectively, giving a great start to their participation in the tournament.\n\nTheir third and final group stage match against Australia in Brighton is also close to selling out. Galligan has commented that he has never experienced a reception like this.\n\n\n

\u201cThis has been magical. I think Sunderland, the way we were walking down the street and had fans everywhere, walking towards the stadium, the fireworks when you got off the bus, I really felt something I’ve never experienced before,\u201d Galligan commented.<\/p>\n\nRosie Galligan<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nGalligan also highlighted the difference of playing at home compared to the tournament in New Zealand three years ago, which has made a big difference.\n\nThe player mentioned that getting extra tickets for her family has been a challenge this week, as England prepares to face the Wallaroos.\n\n\n
