The NFL announces the fines on Saturday afternoons.\n\nAfter a play in the third quarter, Kelce shoved Tart, who responded by hitting Kelce&#8217;s helmet, resulting in a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness. Rules analyst Terry McAulay explained that Tart was not ejected because the contact was with an open hand, which is not grounds for disqualification. A closed fist, or a punch, would have resulted in Tart&#8217;s ejection.\n\nTart signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Chargers in the offseason, and the team paid him a $2 million bonus before preseason activities. Tart also receives a $58,000 bonus, in addition to his guaranteed salary, for each regular season game in which he is active.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I don&#8217;t understand that rule. I don&#8217;t know what their decision was regarding it. They definitely hit him in the head pretty hard, whether with an open or closed hand.<\/p><cite>Andy Reid, Kansas City coach<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nIn response to the incident, Tart posted on Instagram an apparent indirect message towards Kelce and his new fianc\u00e9e, singer Taylor Swift. Tart posted a photo collage, including a video with a scene from a movie where a man hits another with hands covered in white powder.
