The event, which will begin this Friday, will bring together the most outstanding stars of world athletics.\n\nEngineer Alexis Peguero, president of the Dominican Athletics Federation, confirmed the information from Japan, where he is accompanying the national team.\n\nAlongside Paulino, Olympic medalists Lidio Feliz and Alexander Ogando will be competing, as well as Liranyi Alonzo, who will debut in the 200 meters.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We are confident that we will return with medals to the country.<\/p><cite>Ing. Alexis Peguero, President of the Dominican Athletics Federation<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nMarileidy Paulino, world and Olympic champion, will seek her second consecutive gold medal in the 400-meter dash.
