Those changes were forced on the league by a previous legal challenge from City.\n\nThese rules are designed to ensure that a fair market value is applied to commercial agreements with organizations closely related to club owners. The aim is to prevent agreements such as sponsorships from being artificially inflated, which could undermine the league&#8217;s financial rules.\n\nBoth City and the Premier League issued statements simultaneously on Monday, stating that they have &#8220;agreed to terminate the proceedings.&#8221;\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>This agreement ends the dispute between the parties regarding the APT rules.
