The Belgian player came back from a difficult start and overcame a tie break to take the first set, before securing the second with authority.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>&#8220;I still can&#8217;t believe what happened,&#8221; Vandromme declared on the court after her victory. &#8220;I am very happy with my week here, with the level I showed.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<cite>Jeline Vandromme<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe Belgian tennis player had an outstanding performance in New York, defeating number 2, Hannah Klugman, and number 3, Kristina Penickova, on her way to the final.\n\nIn the men&#8217;s branch, the reigning Wimbledon junior champion, Ivanov, added another Grand Slam title to his growing record.
