He was expected to be the next opponent of undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk.\n\nThe WBO had ordered Usyk to begin negotiations with Parker, giving him a 30-day deadline to agree to a fight after his victory over Daniel Dubois last month. However, due to an injury, Usyk was granted an extension, with a new deadline at the end of this month.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a1.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0901%2Fr1539590_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Joseph Parker\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Joseph Parker hasn&#8217;t fought since February.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\nParker is looking to stay active and is in advanced talks to face Wardley in a high-caliber heavyweight fight at the O2 Arena in London.\n\nParker&#8217;s last fight was in February, where he achieved a knockout over Martin Bakole.\n\nWardley, with an undefeated record of 19-0-1 and 18 knockouts, is the WBA interim champion and has great support in the UK.
