His performance included an impressive 40-foot putt on the 18th hole to defeat Bryson DeChambeau in Sunday&#8217;s singles match.\n\nThis year&#8217;s Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black, New York, from September 26 to 28.\n\nThe other four vice-captains had already been appointed and were also present at Europe&#8217;s victory at Marco Simone, near Rome, in 2023: brothers Francesco and Edoardo Molinari, Thomas Bj\u00f8rn, and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal.\n\nNoren is the only new vice-captain, while Nicolas Colsaerts was the only one who was not retained from two years ago.\n\nIt was a big surprise when I found out. I didn&#8217;t expect it at all. I want to bring a good attitude to the team. Bring some knowledge. I&#8217;ve been in this game a long time.\n\nThe Swede Noren will have a special connection with the Scandinavian players on the team: Rasmus H\u00f8jgaard from Denmark, Viktor Hovland from Norway, and Ludvig \u00c5berg from Sweden.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>He will do everything he can to help the team. He&#8217;s a humble guy, it&#8217;s never about Alex. He&#8217;s a good friend of mine. We practice together at the Bears Club (in Jupiter, Florida), where other players who will be on that team also train.
