This decision comes after the disappointment of not being selected for the Ryder Cup, as he stated to GolfMagic.\n\nThe European team captain, Luke Donald, did not include Garcia among the selections for the match against the United States at Bethpage Black later this month.\n\nDonald&#8217;s decision wasn&#8217;t a complete surprise, as Garc\u00eda only had one top 10 finish in his last eight LIV Golf events in the 2025 season.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I felt like I really wanted to be part of that team, and mentally it was a little tough (playing in the Irish Open).
