Dricus du Plessis Promises an Unstoppable Return After UFC Defeat<\/h2>\n\nThe South African UFC fighter, Dricus du Plessis, has assured that he will return to the octagon stronger than ever after losing the middleweight title to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319. Du Plessis, known as ‘Stillknocks’, promised that his quest for greatness will be unimaginable for those with an average mentality.\n\nAfter his defeat, Du Plessis shared his thoughts on social media, where he expressed that he has spent the week recovering with friends and family.\n\nIn his post, Du Plessis, the first UFC champion from South Africa, wrote:\n\n\n

I accept this defeat with open arms, because, believe me, as much as I hate losing, it is as much a part of life as it is of our game, and I believe it is necessary in my quest for greatness. “Without the bitter, the sweet wouldn’t be so sweet”.<\/p>\nDricus du Plessis<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nFurthermore, Du Plessis warned his critics:\n\n\n

Subsequently, he defended his title against Israel Adesanya in August and again against Strickland in February of this year.\n\nHis third title defense against Chimaev was unsuccessful, as the Chechen fighter dominated Du Plessis throughout the five rounds, taking the victory by unanimous decision.\n\nAfter the fight, Du Plessis praised his opponent: “The man has incredible control.
