The Scottish team demonstrated their strength and determination in a crucial Group B match.\n\nThe match began with an early try from Francesca McGhie, followed by two from Rhona Lloyd, establishing a 17-5 lead at halftime. Despite Fiji&#8217;s effort, with a try from Manuqalo Komaitai after the break, Scotland kept their composure.\n\nMcGhie, with his fifth try of the tournament, and an excellent individual effort from Emma Orr, which gave Scotland a bonus point, sealed the victory. Two of their four tries came while Fiji played with 14 players due to yellow cards.\n\nMcGhie opened the scoring at 94 seconds, following a play by Orr. Vika Matarugu of Fiji received a yellow card for a high tackle.\n\nScotland took advantage of the numerical advantage, with Evie Gallagher assisting Helen Nelson and Lloyd scoring in the 10th minute. Fiji responded, and Loraini Senivutu scored in the first half.\n\nOrr and Lloyd collaborated again, increasing the Scottish lead in the 34th minute. Fiji intensified their game in the second half, but Scotland held firm.\n\nKomaitai scored for Fiji in the 51st minute, but McGhie responded with another try.
