His detention occurred in August, after being deported from the United States.\n\nThe son of Mexican boxing legend Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez is facing trial on charges related to his alleged involvement with cartels and the illegal trafficking of weapons in Mexico.\n\nCh\u00e1vez&#8217;s release came after a judge in Hermosillo, a city in northern Mexico, determined that it was not necessary to keep him in custody while awaiting trial. However, he was prohibited from leaving Mexico, according to a federal agent via The Associated Press, under condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.
