Jim Irsay, former Colts owner, and his battles against addiction<\/h2>\n\nFormer Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay faced relapses in his battle with painkiller addiction before his death in May, according to recent reports.\n\nSources close to Irsay, who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation, revealed details about the former owner’s relapses.\n\nIrsay passed away on May 21, and the team announced that he died “peacefully in his sleep”.\n\nThe report indicates that Irsay suffered at least three overdoses since February 2020, including two within a twelve-day period. The first occurred in December 2023 at his residence on the outskirts of Indianapolis, and the second in January 2024 in Miami.\n\nThe prolonged absence of Irsay during the following four months drew attention, an unusually long period for someone who was actively involved in the daily operations of the Colts.
