The team has placed him on the injured reserve list with a designation to return this Tuesday.\n\nThis means the cornerback will miss, at a minimum, the first four games of the season, but will be able to play again after that period.\n\nHairston suffered the injury during individual drills in training camp practice on July 29 and has not returned to practice since. The rookie was competing for the No. 2 cornerback spot with veteran Tre&#8217;Davious White before the injury.\n\nWhite left Thursday&#8217;s practice early due to a lower leg injury, but is on the 53-player roster.\n\nThe Bills reported that they had not decided whether Hairston would be placed on the injured reserve list until Tuesday, when NFL teams had to reduce their active rosters to 53 players. Hairston&#8217;s inclusion on the injured reserve list opened up opportunities for players like Ja&#8217;Marcus Ingram and rookie Dorian Strong.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>There&#8217;s still some time.
