Dream Debut for Caitlyn Halse at the Women’s Rugby World Cup<\/h2>\n\n18-year-old Caitlyn Halse described her World Cup debut as “surreal” and “quite amazing” after Australia defeated Samoa with a resounding 73-0 in their opening match.\n\nHalse, originally from Picton, New South Wales, became the youngest Australian player to participate in a Women’s Rugby World Cup and celebrated the occasion with two tries, contributing to the historic victory of the Wallaroos.\n\nWith 11 international matches under his belt before the tournament, Halse stated that his goal was to be part of the World Cup team from the beginning of 2024, a dream that came true at the Salford Stadium.\n\n\n
