Despite his career, questions about when he will achieve his first triumph are constant.

The only thing I can do is keep learning. I feel like I’ve played really well when I’ve led tournaments and been in contention. I just haven’t quite gotten things right at the end. It’s not that I’ve crashed and burned. It’s just that I haven’t finished things off. The people who win the most are the ones who are in contention the most.

Tommy Fleetwood

The English golfer has shown his ability to stay in the fight, and his enthusiasm is evident.

Henley, for his part, achieved an impressive finish with consecutive birdies, tying Fleetwood for the lead with a total of 13 under par. The course conditions, after the rains, favor low scoring, which has generated a very close competition.

The new tournament structure, where the top 30 players start from par, has also contributed to the intensity of the competition.

Cameron Young, with an outstanding performance and a score of 62, boosted his Ryder Cup aspirations, finishing two strokes off the lead.

Patrick Cantlay, 2021 FedEx Cup champion, rallied in the second half of the course with a score of 30, finishing with birdies and an eagle, and positioned himself three strokes behind the leaders, along with Robert MacIntyre.

Scottie Scheffler, although he didn’t have his best day, managed to extend his streak of rounds under par to 19, placing himself five strokes from the top.

The field has presented an average score of 67 after two rounds.

When the conditions are soft and it has rained, I think that leads to a tight leaderboard, so it’s no surprise. These 30 guys have played well all year, so it’s no surprise to see them play well here this week.

Patrick Cantlay

Fleetwood, who has been close to victory on several occasions, remains optimistic and focused on the upcoming rounds. With 13 players positioned at 7 under par or less, the weekend promises to be exciting.

I know this weekend the scoring is obviously going to be very good. The scoring is really good, but the course isn’t actually easy. You have to play well. I know I need to go out over the next 36 holes, I’m not even thinking about 36, I’ve got to start tomorrow first, keep committing to my golf shots, keep hitting them and hopefully play well.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Henley share the lead at the Tour Championship In an exciting day at the Tour Championship, Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Henley are at the top of the leaderboard, promising a close competition for the coveted $10 million prize.
