Defensive tackle D.J. Davidson also had a good performance. As for the quarterback position, Tommy DeVito impressed with 15 of 17 completed passes and a touchdown in each of his first three series, but he is likely to be the player left off the team.

Next game: vs. Commanders (1 p.m. ET, Sept. 7)

Patriots: The Patriots’ game focused on evaluating kickers, with Andy Borregales and Parker Romo competing for the position. Borregales made a 30-yard field goal and an extra point. The competition has been close throughout training camp.

Next game: vs. Raiders (1 p.m. ET, Sept. 7)

Steelers 19, Panthers 10

Steelers: Derrick Harmon suffered a knee injury and had to be stretchered off, which could be a significant loss for the defensive line. Hunter Renfrow and David Moore did not play, which could indicate that the team is evaluating trade options. Renfrow is seeking a return, but it is still unclear if he has done enough to secure a spot.

Next game: vs. Jaguars (1 p.m. ET, Sept. 7)

Friday’s Results

Bears 29, Chiefs 27

Bears: Nahshon Wright had a good training camp. Luke Newman continues to prove to be a good draft choice, and his versatility supports his chance of making the final roster.

Next game: vs. Vikings (8:15 p.m. ET, Sept. 8)

Chiefs: The team could be looking to add another veteran running back, before Tuesday’s cutdown day or shortly after. Brashard Smith needs time to develop. Elijah Mitchell didn’t have an impressive camp or preseason.

Next game: vs. Chargers (8 p.m. ET, Sept. 5)

Cowboys 31, Falcons 13

Cowboys: Joe Milton III had a more solid performance with a touchdown pass and a scoring run. The final receiver position is between Ryan Flournoy and Jalen Brooks. Mazi Smith could secure a spot on the defensive line.

Next game: vs. Eagles (8:20 p.m. ET, Sept. 4)

Falcons: Chris Blair, Nick Nash, and Feleipe Franks played well, and all three have a chance to make the team. The team will also pay attention to special teams.

Next game: vs. Buccaneers (1 p.m. ET, Sept. 7)

Titans 23, Vikings 13

Titans: Four players are competing for two reserve tackle spots: Jaelyn Duncan, Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, John Ojukwu, and Olisaemeka Udoh. Ojukwu will likely fill the backup tackle position, leaving one vacancy for the other three.

Next game: vs. Broncos (4:05 p.m. ET, Sept. 4)

Vikings: The main battle is for the backup quarterback position. Max Brosmer completed 15 of 23 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown, which secures him a spot on the 53-player roster. Myles Price is still in the running for the kick returner position. Oscar Chapman had a small issue with the ball on a field goal attempt. Ryan Wright remains the favorite.

Next game: vs. Bears (8:15 p.m. ET, Sept. 8)

Eagles 19, Jets 17

Eagles: Adoree’ Jackson did not play, which could indicate he will be a starter in Week 1.
