Zilisch suffered a fall that resulted in a broken collarbone.\n\nMike Forde, NASCAR&#8217;s communications director, addressed the issue on the &#8220;Hauler Talk&#8221; podcast, revealing that, while certain precautions will be implemented in Victory Lane, no new policies will be established.\n\nZilisch, after obtaining his sixth victory of the season at Watkins Glen International, tried to celebrate by climbing onto the roof of his No. 88 Chevrolet. During the celebration, apparently his left foot got tangled in the driver&#8217;s window net, which caused him to fall onto the asphalt.\n\nThe 19-year-old young pilot was taken to the hospital, where the clavicle fracture was confirmed.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I&#8217;m very grateful to be out of that, and I guess I didn&#8217;t walk out, but I&#8217;m very grateful to be walking today and to be okay.<\/p><cite>Connor Zilisch<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nForde indicated that NASCAR will not prohibit drivers from getting into the vehicles in Victory Lane.\n\nLikewise, NASCAR will take preventive measures to avoid situations similar to those that caused Zilisch&#8217;s fall.\n\nForde explained that the window net waving on the outside may have contributed to the accident. A review will be considered to ensure that the net stays inside the car, thus eliminating a possible tripping hazard.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a2.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F0813%2Fr1531308_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption>Connor Zilisch y su lesi\u00f3n en Victory Lane ponen en duda su participaci\u00f3n en la pr\u00f3xima carrera de Xfinity.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\nZilisch underwent surgery on Tuesday, and his participation in the upcoming Xfinity series race at Daytona International Speedway on August 22 is uncertain.
