Major League players are eligible for this update, as the MLB rookie eligibility rules apply here: 130 at-bats, 50 innings pitched, or 45 days on the active roster. On the positive side, the Orioles made the most of having the largest draft group by adding Irish, Aloy, de Brun and Bodine. My pick to click, Gibson, delivered, while George and Mejia also took big steps forward.\n\nWho could debut next: It seems likely that Beavers will be considered before the end of the season.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/bos\/boston-red-sox\">Boston Red Sox<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: A lot! The triumvirate of Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell graduated. I received a lot of criticism before the season for being low on Campbell (&#8220;attention-seeking behavior&#8221;, some called it) despite being the high type in the 2023 draft, but strangely no one came back to apologize. Arias and Tolle emerged, while Garc\u00eda, Early, Gonzales, Clarke, and Soto also took steps forward. Witherspoon was added in the draft and James Tibbs was added and then subtracted via a trade.\n\nWho could debut next: Garcia is likely next, as he&#8217;s on the 40-man roster, but Tolle, Early, and David Sandlin could get the call if a starting pitcher is needed first.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/nyy\/new-york-yankees\">New York Yankees<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The depth of this system has been diminished by trades. Jones, Schlittler, and Lagrange have made great progress this year, but the list quickly reaches the end: Hampton and Lalane have pitched a total of 12 innings this season. Kilby was the Yankees&#8217; best draft pick. Jasson Dom\u00ednguez and Will Warren graduated from the preseason roster.\n\nWho could debut next: Jones needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter, so he should get the call next among the players on this list who have not yet debuted.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/tb\/tampa-bay-rays\">Tampa Bay Rays<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Chandler Simpson and Mason Montgomery graduated this year, while Areinamo was the notable prospect added at the deadline, and Pierce and Summerhill topped the draft haul. Gillen has emerged while most of the system&#8217;s top prospects stagnated a bit, and Brayden Taylor has had a bad year.\n\nWho could debut next: Williams is obviously next and needs to be added to the 40-man this winter, so a September call-up seems likely.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/tor\/toronto-blue-jays\">Toronto Blue Jays<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The 2024 draft class of pitchers was fantastic, getting Yesavage, King, and the third-best prospect traded at the deadline, another top-100 prospect in Khal Stephen (now with Cleveland). The Jays also traded Kendry Rojas and Juaron Watts-Brown from their pitching depth at the deadline, but will add Tiedemann and Bloss next season when both are scheduled to return from elbow surgery. This year&#8217;s draft focused more on position players with Parker, Cook, Blaine Bullard, and Tim Piasentin.\n\nWho could debut next: Yesavage seems next from this group, as he has cut through the minors like a hot knife through butter.\n\n<h2>American League Central Division<\/h2>\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/chw\/chicago-white-sox\">Chicago White Sox<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Montgomery and Schultz began the season as the top two prospects and finished at number 1 and number 3, but had inconsistent seasons. Montgomery is about to graduate, started very slowly and fell on the list, but is now tearing it up in the Major Leagues. Schultz is struggling to throw strikes, as is Smith, and if this continues next season, it will be time to worry. Bonemer has been really good, Wolkow is batting more than I expected, and I liked the draft additions of Carlson and Fauske.\n\nWho could debut next: Gonzalez is in Triple-A, so I bet he&#8217;ll debut before Smith and Schultz start throwing more strikes and get promoted twice.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/cle\/cleveland-guardians\">Cleveland Guardians<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Largely, the same group of about 15 names was slightly reorganized from the preseason roster, with no major graduations, but with the addition of Stephen at the deadline and Laviolette in the draft. Kayfus and Doughty have been on the rise this season.\n\nWho could debut next: Messick seems like he should already get a look at the Major Leagues and will need to be added to the 40-man roster this winter anyway.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/det\/detroit-tigers\">Detroit Tigers<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: McGonigle continued to progress, now in contention for the best prospect in the sport. The top six names have consistently progressed this year amid a series of graduations: Jackson Jobe, Trey Sweeney, Jace Jung, Dillon Dingler, and Brant Hurter. Oliveto, Yost, and Witherspoon were added in the draft, and no one who was near the top 10 was traded at the deadline.\n\nWho could debut next: Lee is in Triple-A and needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter, so he could get a look in September.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/kc\/kansas-city-royals\">Kansas City Royals<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Jac Caglianone and Noah Cameron graduated, but otherwise this roster is quite similar to the preseason roster, with a slight reshuffle, the appearance of Chourio and some added recruits. Hammond, Gamble and Lombardi led the draft haul in July.\n\nWho could debut next: Jensen is in Triple-A and needs to be added to the 40-man roster in the winter, so he has the opportunity to be seen in September.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/min\/minnesota-twins\">Minnesota Twins<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Tait, Abel, and Rojas were the headliners of a demolition at the deadline, and Keaschall is back from an injury and will likely graduate in the next month. Prielipp continues to progress now that he is fully healthy. Keep an eye on high-variance recruits Riley Quick and Quentin Young.\n\nWho could debut next: Rodriguez is in Triple-A and on the 40-man roster, so he&#8217;ll likely be the next to come up, though Prielipp needs to be added to the 40-man this winter and could get a look in September.\n\n<h2>American League West Division<\/h2>\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/ath\/athletics\">Oakland Athletics<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The Athletics continue to move young players to the Major League team, graduating Nick Kurtz, Jacob Wilson, Denzel Clarke, Max Muncy, and J.T. Ginn this year, with Morales, Perkins, and Colby Thomas (recently lost) also in the majors but still with prospect status.\n\nDe Vries was the deadline prize, while Arnold&#8217;s fall was one of the big surprises of the draft, and Jump&#8217;s rise, so to speak, in the prospect lists is one of the most important adjustments of last year&#8217;s draft. Finally, Morii is a very interesting and somewhat unprecedented prospect as a two-way player signed out of a Japanese high school for a seven-figure bonus.\n\nWho could debut next: Nett (needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter) and Jump (injured) are the two best candidates.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/hou\/houston-astros\">Houston Astros<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Cam Smith, Colton Gordon, Shay Whitcomb, and Zach Dezenzo graduated this season. Matthews stepped up this year, while Powell, \u00c1lvarez, and Janek had good professional debuts. Neyens, Mitchell, Frey, and second baseman Nick Monistere (recently lost from the roster) were the top prospects acquired in the draft. Chase Jaworsky and Esmil Valencia were traded at the deadline to acquire Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez.\n\nWho could debut next: Nobody on the list will debut this year, but Miguel Ullola, who just came off the list, has the opportunity to be seen in September.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/laa\/los-angeles-angels\">Los Angeles Angels<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: This year&#8217;s draft haul was unique, with the Angels going well under slot to get Bremner and then distributing those savings to get prep arms: Johnny Slawinski, Robert Mitchell, C.J. Gray, Talon Haley, and Luke Lacourse. Slawinski is the best of the group and ranks 11th on the team&#8217;s list. Lugo and Guzman are on the rise among position players, and Gregory-Alford and Johnson are on the rise among the 2024 pitching recruits.\n\nWho could debut next: Rada and Klassen have the opportunity to move up in the first half of next year, as does Shores if he is pushed into a reliever role.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/sea\/seattle-mariners\">Seattle Mariners<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Cole Young, Logan Evans, and Ben Williamson graduated this season, while Tyler Locklear, Brandyn Garc\u00eda, Juan Burgos, Ashton Izzi, Jeter Mart\u00ednez, and Hunter Cranton were the top prospects Seattle traded at the deadline. The farm was replenished by getting Anderson, Stevenson, and Nick Becker (recently lost) in the draft and with rising performances this spring from Sloan, Arroyo, and Montes.\n\nWho could debut next: Ford is in Triple-A and needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter, so it makes sense that he&#8217;s next to be called up.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/tex\/texas-rangers\">Texas Rangers<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Kumar Rocker, Jack Leiter, and Alejandro Osuna graduated from the preseason top 10; Rosario has been out for the season after elbow surgery and Santos hasn&#8217;t pitched much this year. Fien, Owens, and Russell headlined the incoming draft class and Fitz-Gerald and Scarborough were sleepers from recent classes who emerged this season.\n\nWho could debut next: Davalillo needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter, so you could see him get a call-up down the stretch.\n\n<h2>National League East Division<\/h2>\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/atl\/atlanta-braves\">Atlanta Braves<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat has changed this season? Drake Baldwin and A.J. Smith-Shawver graduated, while Caminiti was promoted and Fuentes had a successful year despite mixed results in his major league debut. Southisene, McKenzie, and Lodise were added in the draft and there was no impactful deal at the deadline, so there wasn&#8217;t as much movement as in other farm systems.\n\nWho could debut next: With Fuentes, Alvarez, and Waldrep already having debuted, there might not be another prospect debut until next season, but Ritchie looks like the next one up, having recently entered Triple-A.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/mia\/miami-marlins\">Miami Marlins<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: White continued his rise into the top 100, while Snelling&#8217;s stuff came back to life after being acquired at the deadline last year and is now back in the top 100. Arquette and Cannarella were the top two draft picks, while Defrank emerged as a power arm in the minors and Marsee is going crazy in his first experience in the Major Leagues.\n\nWho could debut next: Mack, Acosta, and Snelling are all in Triple-A, and I would rank their debut dates in that order, as Mack needs to be added to the 40-man roster this winter and Acosta is already on the 40-man roster.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/nym\/new-york-mets\">New York Mets<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Ronny Mauricio and Luisangel Acu\u00f1a graduated, while Drew Gilbert and Jes\u00fas B\u00e1ez were the top prospects traded at the deadline as the Mets prepare for a playoff run. The top of this system is very tight, with the top five almost interchangeable at this point. Ewing, Benge, Reimer, Tong, and McLean have been on the rise in a remarkable way this year.\n\nWho could debut next: After McLean debuted on the weekend, five players on this list are in Triple-A, have not yet debuted, and do not need to be added to the 40-man roster until after next season. I will rank them in this order: Tong, Williams, Clifford, Benge, and Sproat.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/phi\/philadelphia-phillies\">Philadelphia Phillies<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The most notable player who moved up in the system was Mick Abel, who was included with Eduardo Tait in a trade at the deadline to get Jhoan Duran. Painter has been solid in his return after two full regular seasons without an appearance. Wood was one of the best values in the first round of the draft, with the concerns being durability and reliever risk, but he could move quickly. Escobar has probably been the second most notable advance in the system behind Abel.\n\nWho could debut next: Painter needs to be added to the 40-man roster in the winter, so it would make sense as a call-up in September.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/wsh\/washington-nationals\">Washington Nationals<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Dylan Crews and Brady House have graduated from the preseason top 10, and Cavalli could join them soon. Willits, Petry, Harmon, and James headlined the 2025 draft class, while Dickerson and King are the top 2024 Nats draft prospects. Sykora had his second surgery of the year (hip, now elbow) and looks like he&#8217;ll be out all next season, but he fits in the top half of the top 100 when healthy. Susana could be a star if he can throw more strikes.\n\nWho could debut next: There is no good candidate on this list, as Clemmey, Susana or King would seem to be next and I&#8217;m not sure any of them will debut next season. Christian Franklin and Jake Bennett just lost the list and both need to be added to the 40-man roster this winter.\n\n<h2>National League Central Division<\/h2>\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/chc\/chicago-cubs\">Chicago Cubs<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Matt Shaw and Cade Horton graduated, while Caissie and Wiggins stepped up. I liked the draft approach, getting Conrad, Hartshorn, Kane Kepley, and Kaleb Wing (both just missed the list). Only secondary and tertiary players were traded at the deadline, much to the dismay of some fans.\n\nWho could debut next: It seems likely that Caissie will get an extended look after being called up this week and possibly as a long-term replacement for Kyle Tucker.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/cin\/cincinnati-reds\">Cincinnati Reds<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The top three on this list are very close, and Lowder&#8217;s injury-affected season has allowed Stewart and Duno to close in on him, as Collier&#8217;s injury also prevented him from moving up. Sammy Stafura and Adam Serwinowski were traded at the deadline just after Hall and Watson were added in the draft. Lewis is showing great tools in his professional debut, but still has a ways to go.\n\nWho could debut next: Stewart is in Triple-A and could reach the Major Leagues even though he is not on the 40-man roster and does not need to be added this winter.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/mil\/milwaukee-brewers\">Milwaukee Brewers<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Jacob Misiorowski just graduated with one of the most notable debuts in the Major Leagues in recent memory, on par with Paul Skenes. Made and Pena had successful seasons in the DSL last year and will finish this season in High-A as 18-year-olds leading the system. Adams continues to build his sleeper credentials, while Fischer and Payne were the top picks of the last two drafts.\n\nWho could debut next: Quero is on the 40-man roster and in Triple-A, so he should be considered when there&#8217;s a need for a catcher.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/pit\/pittsburgh-pirates\">Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: Griffin went from being the prospect with the most variance in the 2024 draft to being in the running for the best prospect in the sport in 12 months. Griffin, Hernandez, and Sanford (along with Levi Sterling, who just missed the list) were the top picks from the last two drafts, while Stafura and Flores headlined their haul at the deadline. Mike Burrows and Braxton Ashcraft were on the preseason roster and graduated this year.\n\nWho could debut next: I had been waiting for Chandler&#8217;s call for months, but he hasn&#8217;t been pitching well in his last six starts or so, so that kept getting delayed until the Pirates decided to call him up for a debut later this week. Barco and Flores need to be added to the 40-man this winter, so it would make sense for them to get looks in September.\n\n<p><a href=\"\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/stl\/st-louis-cardinals\">St. Louis Cardinals<\/a><\/p>\n\nWhat changed this season: The pitching at the top of the system hasn&#8217;t had the best year: Hjerpe was out for the season after elbow surgery and Roby also had surgery last month, while Hence and Mathews had slow starts to the season. Doyle was the top pick in the draft and helps bolster that group. Rodr\u00edguez was a revelation this year, while B\u00e1ez and Jordan were the top prospects acquired at the deadline.\n\nWho could debut next: Wetherholt&#8217;s protection timeline doesn&#8217;t mandate a call-up soon, but he&#8217;s really good and is at Triple-A, so you could justify it.
