Anthony Richardson’s Future in Doubt After Colts’ Decision<\/h2>\n\nINDIANAPOLIS – The future of Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. is up in the air after Tuesday’s decision to name Daniel Jones as the team’s starting quarterback.\n\nRichardson’s agent, Deiric Jackson, reacted with disappointment to the news and expressed uncertainty about his client’s future with the club.\n\n\n

Richardson was benched for two games last season, and Steichen said at the time that Richardson needed to improve his game preparation. The team quickly reinstated the player, selected with the number 4 pick in the 2023 draft, to the starting lineup after suffering two consecutive losses with veteran Joe Flacco.\n\n\n

Coaches stated that they saw a notable improvement in Richardson’s technique and accuracy during training camp, considering it a response to the competitive situation created by Jones’s hiring.\n\nJackson reiterated his belief that Richardson’s playmaking ability makes him a viable quarterback in the league, something that, according to him, was demonstrated when Richardson led two game-winning drives late in the season in the final minutes.\n\n\n
