A strong storm with torrential rains has forced the rescheduling of several sports disciplines of the Junior Pan American Games ASU2025, which are being held in Asunci\u00f3n, Paraguay.<\/p>\n
Golf, athletics, water skiing, hockey, and beach volleyball competitions were affected by the heavy rainfall and the saturation of the sports venues.<\/p>\n
The storm has caused floods, falling trees and material damage in downtown Asunci\u00f3n and in nearby towns such as Luque, Fernando de la Mora and Lambar\u00e9.<\/p>\n
The Meteorology Department has extended the storm alert, warning that the bad weather will affect ten departments of the country, including Central, San Pedro, Caaguaz\u00fa, Caazap\u00e1, Itap\u00faa, Misiones, Paraguar\u00ed, \u00d1eembuc\u00fa and Presidente Hayes.<\/p>\n
The Games’ organizing committee is working on logistical adjustments to maintain the schedule and ensure the safety of athletes, officials, and the public.<\/p>\n
