The team announced this Friday that the driver from Auckland, New Zealand, will continue with the team &#8220;for many years.&#8221; The specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.\n\nWith wins from the pole position in Mexico City, Chicago, and Sonoma Raceway, van Gisbergen has secured fourth place in the 2025 playoffs, with three races remaining in the regular season.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I feel like Trackhouse Racing is my home.<\/p><cite>Shane van Gisbergen<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nAfter winning three championships in Australia&#8217;s Supercars series, van Gisbergen was hired by Trackhouse two years ago as part of its Project 91 program, designed to showcase international drivers in NASCAR&#8217;s premier series.\n\nIn the first Chicago street race in July 2023, van Gisbergen became the first driver to win in his Cup debut since Johnny Rutherford in 1963.\n\nVan Gisbergen moved to NASCAR last year and qualified for the Xfinity Series playoffs with two wins for Kaulig Racing. This year, he moved up to the Cup with Trackhouse in the No. 88 Chevrolet and became the foreign-born driver with the most wins in NASCAR history.\n\nIn Sunday&#8217;s race at Watkins Glen International, van Gisbergen will look to join Chase Elliott and Jeff Gordon as the only drivers with four consecutive wins on road or street courses.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We are witnessing one of the superstars of racing.
