Zilisch, an Xfinity series driver, suffered a fall that resulted in a broken collarbone.<\/p>\n\n\nMike Forde, NASCAR&#8217;s managing director of communications, addressed the incident on the &#8220;Hauler Talk&#8221; podcast, where he explained that certain precautions will be implemented in Victory Lane, but no new policies will be established.\n\nZilisch had secured his sixth victory of the season at Watkins Glen International when, while celebrating, he climbed onto the roof of his No. 88 Chevrolet. Apparently, his left foot got caught in the driver&#8217;s side window net, which caused him to fall.\n\nThe 19-year-old driver was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a broken collarbone.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I am very grateful to be able to walk away from this, or well, not walking, but I am very grateful to be okay today.<\/p><cite>Connor Zilisch<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nForde assured that NASCAR will not prohibit drivers from climbing on the doors in Victory Lane.\n\nAlthough new policies will not be implemented, NASCAR will take precautions to avoid similar situations in the future.\n\nForde mentioned that the window net waving on the outside may have contributed to the accident.
