His recent performance convinced the management that it was the moment.\n\nBaltimore plans to use him as a catcher and designated hitter, sharing time with Adley Rutschman, as well as giving him opportunities at first base.\n\nHis arrival also has symbolic value for the Orioles: he is the first major international signing of the Mike Elias general manager era to debut in the Majors, confirming the strategy of expanding the club&#8217;s presence in Latin America.\n\nPlayers like Jackson Holliday don&#8217;t hide their enthusiasm: &#8220;Samuel is an incredible talent, he has power and contagious energy.
