The performance of the Colombian golfer, which included a double bogey, positions him as the leader in the event held at The Club at Chatham Hills, Indianapolis.\n\nMu\u00f1oz completed the course with an impressive 59, twelve under par, after sinking a short putt for birdie. He currently leads Dustin Johnson by three strokes after the first round.\n\nDespite a stumble on the 5th hole, where a double bogey marred his start, Mu\u00f1oz demonstrated resilience and determination. He reacted with birdies on 13 of the last 14 holes, culminating his performance with the decisive putt on the 1st hole (he started on the 2nd hole due to the shotgun format).\n\nWith this outstanding performance, Mu\u00f1oz joins Joaqu\u00edn Niemann and Bryson DeChambeau as the only LIV Golf players who have achieved a score below 60 strokes since the circuit began in 2022.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Niemann shot a 59 at Mayakoba in 2024.
