The All-Star closer for the [Astros](\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/hou\/houston-astros), Josh Hader, will be out of action for approximately three weeks due to a strain in his left shoulder capsule, the team announced on Friday.<\/p>\n
Hader was placed on the injured list on Monday, marking the first time in his nine-year Major League career that this has occurred, due to a shoulder injury. Astros manager Joe Espada indicated on Wednesday that Hader would seek a second opinion before deciding on the next steps.<\/p>\n
In his second season with the Astros, Hader, who has been selected for the All-Star six times, has a 6-2 record with a 2.05 ERA and is tied for third with 28 saves in 48 appearances this season.<\/p>\n
