Before the injury, he was batting .280 with four home runs and 25 RBIs in 27 games.\n\nCubs rookie right-handed pitcher Cade Horton expressed his regret over Amaya&#8217;s situation, highlighting his quality as a player and teammate.\n\nTo take Amaya&#8217;s place on the roster, the Cubs are calling up Owen Caissie, their No. 2 prospect. Caissie, 23, is batting .292 with 22 home runs and an OPS of .966 in Triple-A Iowa.\n\nCaissie was acquired in December 2020 in a deal involving Yu Darvish.
