Nolan McLean Debut: Reinforcement for the Mets’ Rotation<\/h2>\n\nPitching prospect Nolan McLean will make his Major League debut this Saturday with the New York Mets. The team hopes the right-hander will provide a boost to a rotation that has struggled.\n\nMcLean, 24 years old, is ranked as the third-best prospect in the Mets’ farm system.\n\nIn 21 games, including 18 starts, between Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse, he went 8-5 with a 2.45 ERA. In addition, he struck out 127 batters in 113 2\/3 innings, showcasing a five-pitch arsenal, including a fastball that reaches between 90 mph and a curveball that has been clocked in the mid-80s.\n\n\n
