The 25-year-old All-Star catcher also used Farmer’s bat the night before when he sent a ball 436 feet in Colorado’s 3-0 victory.\n\n

It’s a gift. I turn 35 in five days, so I guess I’m still giving. He has serious power. He’s a very good hitter, a smart hitter.<\/p>Farmer<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nGoodman leads the Rockies with 24 home runs. On Wednesday, he pinch-hit in the ninth inning and sent a 3-2 sinker from JoJo Romero to the grass beyond the center field fence.\n\n

I was just looking for something in the zone. He left a sinker in the middle. I know what he’s trying to do.<\/p>Goodman<\/cite>\n\nIt was the first pinch-hit home run for Goodman, who has hit five home runs in the last 10 games.\n\nGoodman broke the scoreless tie on Tuesday with a two-run homer against Matthew Liberatore in the fourth inning. That landed in the plaza beyond the lower deck seats in left field.\n\n

Shout out to Farmer for the bat. Couldn’t have done it without his bat. I’ve used his bat now the last two days. Gotta give him some credit.<\/p>Goodman<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nWhy the change?\n\n

It’s a long season. His bat is a little shorter than mine, so I thought I could try something more at this moment. As the season progresses, it’s now August and the dog days. You get a little tired.
