It was like I was seeing two balls. They were symptoms that I couldn&#8217;t ignore. It took me time to absorb them and be able to talk openly about it, because it&#8217;s something very difficult. It affects me a lot on a day-to-day basis,\u201d said Seles.<\/p>\n\n<cite>Monica Seles<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nSeles, who reached the top of the world tennis, faced an additional challenge in her career. In 1993, while participating in a match in Hamburg, she suffered a knife attack that kept her away from the courts for two years.
