Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut<\/h2>\nFormer WWE CEO Vince McMahon is in the spotlight following a car incident on a Connecticut highway. The accident, which involved his Bentley, occurred shortly before the news of the death of Hulk Hogan, a wrestling legend, was announced.\nMcMahon was cited for reckless driving and following another vehicle too closely, according to a state police report. The accident took place Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway, in Westport. Fortunately, there were no injuries.\nMcMahon was released after posting a $500 bond and must appear before Stamford Superior Court on August 26.\nThe photos taken by Barbara Doran, one of the people involved in the accident, show significant damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which was towed in Westport. The images also reveal damage to the rear of Doran’s BMW 430.\nThe police report indicates that McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended the BMW and crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling south hit debris from the accident that flew over the barrier.\nAccording to the police report, there were no passengers in the vehicles and all three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, while those in his BMW did not.\n\n
\"Vince<\/figure>\n\nBarbara Doran, from New York City, recounted that she was driving in the right lane when McMahon crashed into her vehicle. The impact caused her car to leave the road.\n\n

I was driving in the right lane and suddenly, boom. I was hit from behind and catapulted forward and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road.<\/p>\n\nBarbara Doran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nDoran explained that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he did not know well. After the accident, they both talked.\n\n

He just, you know, expressed his concern, was glad I was okay and all that. And I thanked him for his concern.<\/p>\n\nBarbara Doran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nMcMahon stepped down as WWE CEO in 2022 amid an internal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. Last year, he also resigned as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, one day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied these allegations. The lawsuit is still pending.\nMcMahon acquired the then World Wrestling Federation in 1982 and transformed it from a regional wrestling company to a global phenomenon.
