Butler Melnyk, Straka’s representative, did not disclose details about the nature of the family matter, requesting privacy in a statement.<\/p>\n
Straka’s absence reduces the BMW Championship field at Caves Valley to 49 players. Despite his withdrawal, the situation does not affect Straka in terms of the FedEx Cup, as he is in fifth position, far from the possibility of winning the $5 million prize intended for the leader in the standings.
