Spaun in a thrilling playoff.\n\nRose, demonstrating his quality once again, delivered a card of 67 strokes (-3) in the final round, securing his triumph and his return to the world’s top 10 at the age of 45. This victory, the 24th of his career, also guarantees him a place in the next Ryder Cup.\n\nRose’s performance was impressive, with four consecutive birdies and six in the last eight holes played. In the tiebreaker, he demonstrated his composure by achieving two crucial birdies, thus sealing his victory.\n\n\n

“It was an incredible final 90 minutes. I played incredible golf down the stretch. When I play at my best, I know I’m good enough to compete and win against the best in the world. All these experiences and these close finishes, as I say, there’s no point in letting them have a negative effect on what happens next. What would be the point? It was a great week. I did a lot of good things and, as disappointed as I am, I have to try to find the strength to turn it all into a positive experience and, hopefully, try again next time.”\n\n\n
