This recognition comes after a historic season in which he led his team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, towards the NBA championship.\n\nIn addition to the key, it was announced that a street will bear his name, a gesture that celebrates the impact and pride that Gilgeous-Alexander has generated in his hometown.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I grew up traveling the world, to countless states, cities, and countries, and people always asked me where I was from.
