Carlos Canizales conquers the super flyweight title<\/h3>\n\n\nCarlos Canizales avenged his defeat against Petchmanee CP Freshmart with a knockout in the fifth round, winning the WBC super flyweight title and replacing Freshmart in the rankings, positioning himself in the number 5 spot.\n\n

Oscar Duarte defeats Kenneth Sims Jr.<\/h3>\n\nIn Chicago, Oscar Duarte defeated Kenneth Sims Jr. by majority decision in an eliminator for the WBA super lightweight title. Duarte demonstrated his strength and constant pressure, outperforming Sims in a very competitive fight.\n\n\n

Regis Prograis vs. Joseph “Jojo” Diaz: A Stellar Fight<\/h3>\n\n\nThe co-main event between Regis Prograis and Joseph “Jojo” Diaz was a spectacle. Prograis won by unanimous decision in a super lightweight fight that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.\n\nPrograis, based on his jab, managed to score points against Diaz. Despite Diaz’s attempts, who landed significant punches, Prograis demonstrated resilience and control of the fight, winning two scorecards of 96-94 and one of 98-92.\n\n\n

“I felt like I won the fight,” Prograis stated. “My jab worked all night. I was connecting. I think he connected with some hard shots, but at the same time I was never [hurt]. I was probably stunned the first time he connected, but after that, I wasn’t stunned anymore.”<\/p>\n\nRegis Prograis<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nBoth Prograis and Diaz, for the moment, remain outside the top 10 of the super lightweight division.\n\n\n

Ranking Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Alofoke Deportes’ boxing rankings highlight the best boxers in each category. These rankings are updated according to recent results and performances. Boxers who change categories will be included in their new division once they fight in it. Champions with titles in multiple divisions may be ranked in both. Boxers inactive for more than 12 months, without scheduled fights, will be removed from the ranking until they compete again. Boxers with positive results in doping tests will also be removed.<\/p>\n\n\nHere are the rankings by category:\n\n\n
