Vince McMahon Involved in Car Accident in Connecticut<\/h2>\n\n\nFormer WWE CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a traffic accident on a Connecticut road, resulting in damage to his Bentley and two other vehicles. The incident occurred a few hours before the news of the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was announced.\n\nAccording to a state police report, McMahon was cited for reckless driving and following another vehicle too closely. The accident took place Thursday morning on the Merritt Parkway in Westport. Fortunately, there were no injuries. McMahon was released on a $500 bond and ordered to appear in Stamford Superior Court on August 26.\n\nThe authorities have not issued any statements regarding the matter.\n\nThe photos taken by Barbara Doran, one of the people involved in the accident, revealed significant damage to the front of McMahon’s 2024 Bentley Continental GT Speed, which was being transported on a tow truck in Westport. The images also showed damage to the rear of Doran’s BMW 430.\n\nThe police report indicates that McMahon was driving north on the highway, also known as Route 15, when he rear-ended the BMW and crashed into a wooden barrier. A vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes hit debris from the accident that flew over the barrier.\n\nAccording to the police, there were no passengers in the vehicles and the three drivers were wearing seatbelts. McMahon’s car airbags deployed, while Doran’s did not.\n\n\n

I was hit from behind and I was sent flying forward and you can see the tire marks where I was desperately trying to stay on the road,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nDoran explained that a state police officer informed him that the other driver was McMahon, whom he didn’t know well. He added that he spoke with McMahon after the accident.\n\n\n

And I thanked him for his concern,\u201d said Doran, 72.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nMcMahon resigned from his position as WWE CEO in 2022, amid a company investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. He also stepped down as executive chairman of the board of directors of TKO Group Holdings, WWE’s parent company, last year, a day after a former WWE employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. McMahon has denied the allegations. The lawsuit is still pending.\n\nMcMahon acquired what was then the World Wrestling Federation in 1982 and transformed it from a regional wrestling company into a global phenomenon.
